Executive and board coaching at Purposeworks is treated as a disciplined professional practice with its own standards, responsibilities, and approach. Coaching plays a critical role in helping organizations translate insight into action and developing competencies that increase effectiveness.
Board Governance Coaching
Boards are increasingly stretched to adopt standards and systems that comply with funder requirements, accreditation standards and best practices. Our coaches work with boards and directors to adopt updated practices, policy frameworks and training through a coaching relationship.

Executive Directors and CEOs are increasingly burdened with so many aspects of an organization. Wearing that many hats often leads to burn-out and high-turnover. Our Practice
Fractional Workforce Solutions
Fractional workforce solutions at Purposeworks is our solution for organizations that have a need for additional professional resources as part of their systems - but lack the financial resources to hire someone full-time. It's frustrating when there is work to do, but not enough hands or budget to make it happen.
We provide interim staffing or gap filling. Fractional team members are brought in to do the work - at your direction and within your systems and within the budget you can afford. They are not employees - just contracted workers with high knowledge and experience - who act as employee resources.
Assess
We determine what your desired output is for a particular role, understand what resources you have and what the timeline is for the work.
Design
Every fractional role is intentionally designed with clear scope, authority, reporting structures, and defined outcomes from the outset.
Deliver
Our fractional leaders report into your organizational framework and systems for 6-18 months depending on scope. They work at your direction and deliver on your expectations.
Transfer
Every engagement is designed to end well, building internal capability, transferring knowledge, and leaving your organization stronger and more independent. Success for us is filling a gap, while helping the organization identify how to permanently fill a capacity for the long-term.

The lands of Wabanaki (WAH-BAH-NAH-KEE) people are recognized in a series of Peace and Friendship Treaties to establish an ongoing relationship of peace, friendship and mutual respect between equal nations. We recognize the Wabanaki who have been the traditional stewards of this land for countless generations, and we pay our respects to their elders past and present. We recognize the enduring presence and contributions of these peoples, who have lived on and cared for this land since time immemorial.
